What a review shows you

  • Labels you already know

Brilliant, Great, Best, Excellent, Good, Book, Inaccuracy, Mistake, Miss and Blunder, in the style chess.com players are used to.

  • Accuracy for both sides

One accuracy number per player, an evaluation graph of the whole game, and accuracy by opening, middlegame and endgame.

  • The better move

Where you went wrong, the move Stockfish wanted and the line that follows, on the board.

  • A coach that says why

A one-line explanation under each label: what the move missed or allowed, not just that it was bad.

  • Key moments

Jump straight to the moves where the game was won or lost instead of stepping through all of it.

  • Unlimited and free

Reviews in your browser or the desktop app are unlimited. With a free account, 10 games a day also run on our servers, which is faster and works on your phone.

Questions

Is the game review really free?
Yes. Reviews that run in your browser or in the desktop app are free and unlimited. A free account adds 10 reviews a day on our servers. Pro ($4.99 a month) adds a pool of 3,000 server reviews per billing cycle.
Which engine does RewindChess use?
Stockfish 19. Our servers and the desktop app run the native engine; the browser runs the WebAssembly build.
Do I need to give my chess.com password?
No. RewindChess only reads the games chess.com publishes for every player. Typing your username is enough.
Will my accuracy match chess.com exactly?
Usually close, rarely identical: chess.com's own accuracy uses a different model. Where chess.com shows an accuracy for the game, we show it next to ours.
